Local Mexican rider, David Rutherford, has won the Puerto Escondido WQS Quiksilver Pro in a high scoring final against two Hawaiians and a Brazilian.

A few years ago we spent a week across the road from Zicatela when a good size summer swell hit. It was the first swell in weeks and the locals took full advantage. Surfline picked up our footage and ran it as a local video feature for a while.
